FDLE SOCE (State Officer Certification Exam) Registration Information

Effective June 12, 2014, applicants will no longer be able to register for the State Officer Certification Exam (SOCE)

via the FDLE website as paper-and-pencil testing has been discontinued. Beginning July 2014, all State Officer

Certification Exams will be administered on a computer based testing platform and applicants will register directly

through Pearson VUE, the computer based testing vendor, or at private test centers that have been approved by FDLE

for computer based testing.

All applicants will be slated for computer based testing on July 14, 2014, and will be authorized to test by Pearson

VUE on that date given the training or selection center has entered your passing result in the Automated Training

Management System (ATMS). Therefore, beginning July 14, 2014, applicants may register for the computer-based

State Officer Certification Examination online or by phone. To register online at a public test site, visit

www.pearsonvue.com/fdle and follow the instructions on the site.

To register by phone, please contact the Pearson VUE call center at 877-242-1697 and select option 6 to schedule an

exam. If an applicant desires to take the test at a private test site, the applicant must contact the private test site

directly to register. Until July 1, 2014, the FDLE website can still be used to access and print grade reports and

notification letters for applicants that have previously taken a paper-and-pencil State Officer Certification Exam. If

you have any questions, please contact the Research and Assessment Section at (850) 410-8602
